lol at the letters on that phone the number 7 is missing the letter Q and the number 9 is missing the Z, i guess phones changed and they added the Q and Z letters to the numbers when companies started using letters in their numbers and the advent of text messaging and data entry on a phone, like programming in ppl’s names for a number stored in memory for example PRS and WXY back then and PQRS and WXYZ today

  6. awsome machine mine is a little different but has full size cassettes like yours i think its the kt1470 and once in a while i will put a comedy message on just to annoy people and it stops all those automated things. We had a digital one but it stinks compaired to the tape one. Panasonic all the way and long live the cassette

  7. The phone itself we had for as long as I can remember.

  8. Did that slimline phone come with the answering machine? The phone uses pulse dialing, I don’t know if any of the telephone networks here in Australia support pulse dialing anymore.

  9. thats very awsome. Why don’t they still make these high quality units. i’m on the look out for one! :)

Sounds like your uncle knows his stuff. :)

  11. I had a few of those units in the past, two exactly like yours and one in all black (I eventually passed them along to other folks).

    They’re nice units. 8)

  12. I think it detects the silence.

  13. He will not be blocked.

  14. I know they’re just your way so i’ll let you do that “…productions presents” thing OK?

  15. CassetteMaster, please block Chao772. He just wants to make a scene.

  16. yea, coolbluelights is right! The introductions are awesome. I can’t wait to see what cool crazy introduction you’ll have next!

  17. chao772 productions presents – really selfish comments!

  18. very cool, as you can make a very high quality greeting using standard cassette. If I recorded a greeting using a different cassette recorder, how does the answerphone cut off the greeting at the end, does it detect silence, or a tone?

  19. LOL ‘Random Guitar productions presents’

  20. It’s the clunk-o-phone. I had one. Great answering machine with loud clunking solenoids LOL

  21. They’re just my way!

  22. Yes! It’s my Uncle Ricky! His name is also Ricky, and he also likes vintage audio!

  23. Because I’ve had enough of them!

  24. Why? they’re funny don’t stop it Cassettemaster!

  25. CassetteMaster can’t you stop with the annoying “…productions presents” on every start of your videos please?
