    The Nerves version is good — but face it: this is a song sung from the perspective of a stalker. It’s just better sung by a woman as smokin’ hot as Deborah Harry rather than one of the guys in the Nerves.

    Agism did exist in the 70′s and 80′s and on some level the press did try to make a big deal about debbie’s age but the issue was never that big because she looked young and hot for her age. It’s just a lot worse now but it did exist back then too.
